Meet by upper reservoir; see directions below.
Mondays July 11–September 5
Join us Monday evening for a walking meditation along the wooded trails at Mount Tabor, to quiet our minds, open our hearts, and bring us into the present moment in this beautiful place.
Simple practice surrounded by beauty is a ready antidote that offers clarity and space, and brings us into balance. Stepping away from political rancor and the endless news of trouble and conflict, Monday evenings will refresh our sense of ease and refill our cups of compassion, insight, skillful action, and lovingkindness. All are welcome.
We’ll begin silent walking at 6:30 pm, using our breath and our footsteps to bring us into the moment, into our bodies, here and now. Along the trail we’ll walk at an easy, mindful pace for 30-40 minutes, from the upper reservoir to the top of the park. At the top, we’ll find a spot to sit, rest, reflect, and connect as the sun begins to set. All are welcome ~ please join us.
Bring water, snacks, and whatever you need to be comfortable on a summer evening outdoors.
* DIRECTIONS: Take SE 60th Ave. from Belmont or Division to the light at Salmon St. Salmon only turns east there, going up into the park. Find a place to park or lock your bike along the road, near the upper reservoir gate. Meet at the gate by the reservoir.
