July 4th Interdependence Picnic

  • Laurelhurst Park SE Cesar E Chavez Blvd & Stark St Portland, OR

Our annual Interdependence Picnic Gathering is Tuesday July 4, 5:30-8:00 pm at Laurelhurst Park, Picnic Area B. This is just inside the Park, to the right, when you enter where SE Oak St. and SE 35th Ave intersect. Looks for prayer flags in the trees!

Bring a friend or a whole gaggle of folks, a veg/vegan potluck dish to share,  your own plate and flatware, and a picnic blanket or lawn chair. Musical instruments  are definitely welcome too.

Interdependence means recognition of belonging, of the myriad the ways in which our lives and wellbeing are inextricably connected, intertwined with the natural world that sustains us and with our families and friends, our communities, and the larger world.

On July 4, we'll celebrate all the interconnections and mutuality that make life wonderful and keep all the wheels turning. And we'll share a great picnic in the one of Portland's beautiful parks.
