Open Door Dharma Hybrid Gatherings :
Time to sit, chant, and breathe together, 3:30-4:30 pm
Shift to Being Here Now, in conversation 4:30 to 6:00 pm
Sundays March 8 and 22 | 3:30–6:00 pm
Friends Meeting House, 4312 SE Stark, PDX, Room 12
All are welcome ~ Come any time you feel like it.
These hybrid Sunday afternooncircles begin with an hour of simple sitting, chanting, and quiet meditation. Aftera short break, and we sit again for conversation, reflecting on how we’re doing, navigating the challenging time we live in, whether in personal or broad terms. We talk, we listen, reflect, while we have tea and sweets.
And we take heart in being together to see what emerges in the circles. Donations are welcome.
The space is fully accessible and carpeted, with comfortable chairs. Bring a cushion if you prefer floor-sitting.
Open Door gatherings reflect the teachings and practices shared by Ram Dass and Neem Karoli Baba, and mine wisdom from Joanna Macy and other dharma teachers, traditions, and lineages.
These gatherings and practices ease the heart. Breathing in that space we cultivate stability and belonging, and the resilience be present, no present matter what arises.
The door is open, so come by when you can — to chant and sit, or for conversation. Or for both, all afternoon.
