Open Door Satsang
Most Sundays 9:30–11:30 am
3841 SE 51st Ave., Portland
Dharma circle on most Sunday mornings includes simple kirtan and Hanuman Chalisa and dharma reflections, followed by 30-minute silent sitting. These circles are offered in the spirit of devotion, kindness, service, and love, following Ram Dass’s footsteps to the heart of Neem Karoli Baba.
The door is open and all are welcome, so come on in–chai is on the stove. We chant until 11:00 then sit in meditation for about 30 minutes. Come when you can, and stay as long as you want.
All backgrounds, traditions, interests, and yearning belong here. Sweet voices and rusty pipes, drums and instruments are all welcome. And folks who have never come to a home satsang are welcome, too.
Devotion and Service
Neem Karoli Baba, also called Maharajji, drew Ram Dass and many other Westerners along with Indian devotees into the path of love and service. Deep devotion, nondual wisdom from advaita vedanta, Buddhist insights, and practices from many traditions flow into the sanatana dharma that Maharajji embodied.
Stop by on Sunday to chant, to sit, and to enjoy warm conversation that reminds us of “who we really are.” The door is open – please join us.
