Thursday, June 20, 5:30–7:30 pm At the Meeting House, 4312 SE Stark, Portland
Bring your heart, your voice, your interest, and something for the potluck
The Meeting House is mobility-accessible, and all are welcome, all ages.
Living Earth’s potluck gatherings always mean good food and good folks, with lively, thoughtful conversations that sow seeds of compassion, community, and resilience. Bring a dish to share (enough to serve 4–6), or some fresh fruit, a sweet, flowers—whatever strikes your fancy. Weather permitting, we can be hybrid: indoors and outdoors in the garden. After dinner, we’ll open a discussion touching on the myriad changes facing the world in these times, and what role cultivating compassion, courage, and inner capacity for engagement can play in our responses and intentions.
On July 4, we’ll have a potluck picnic at Mount Tabor to celebrate global and local interdependence. Then starting in September, our monthly Friday night potlucks will reflect aspects of our First Fridays that lots of folks remember. The basic roots will be compassion, creativity, community, courage, and engaged spirituality—elements that have always been the heart of Living Earth.
Our potlucks are always free, but if you’re able to donate $5 or $10, or $20, in the basket, it will help pay the rent for these events. If your budget is lean, don’t let it be a barrier—no one’s keeping track and everyone is welcome.
