Programs and practices to nurture resilient hearts and cultivate kindness, justice, beauty, and balance in our lives and in our world.
Living Earth’s activities enrich our sense of possibility and belonging, and encourage creative, compassionate responses to the world we all share.
- Living Earth Dharma. These opportunities for contemplative practice, study, and discussion include occasional gatherings, workshops, and retreats. Insights from the world’s ageless wisdom traditions shine light on how we live and navigate the wonder and challenge of being here now, in this place and time.
- Compassion and Service. Our Brown Bag and Winter Warming programs reflect the spirit of seva – selfless service to all beings. Brown Bags feed folks on the streets with no questions or judgement. We simply offer good nourishing food and friendly connection. In fall and winter, our Winter Warming program provides a bright rainbow of new, cozy, hand-crafted items for babies, kids, teens, adults, and elderly neighbors, to help everyone stay warm during the cold seasons.
- Loving, Living, and Dying. Workshops and retreats provide opportunities to explore the beauty and wonder of our lives alongside the challenging truth of impermanence. We share laughter and joy, the challenge of upheaval and change, the pain of grief and loss, and our responses in confronting death and dying.
- Community Gatherings. Seasonal potlucks and occasional hikes and picnics brighten our calendar through the year. Highlights include a Celebration of Interdependence on July 4, an autumn Harvest Gathering, and a beautiful Winter Solstice Celebration as each year winds down.
