Open Door Dharma : Being Here Now Conversations
Sundays Feb. 8 and Feb. 22 | 3:30–6:00 pm
Friends Meeting House, 4312 SE Stark, PDX, Room 12
All are welcome(no charge).
These hybrid Sunday afternoons open with an hour of simple chanting and quiet meditation. After a short break, we take a deep breath and reflect together on how we’re doing. each of us, as we navigate the instability and pain of the time we’re living in. We talk, listen, maybe mourn, and maybe smile and laugh, too.
In this challenging time, we take heart in being together to see what emerges in the circles. Donations are welcome.
Our space is fully accessible and carpeted, with comfortable chairs. Bring a cushion if you prefer floor-sitting.
Open Door gatherings reflect the insight and practices shared by Ram Dass, Neem Karoli Baba, and wisdom from other dharma teachers including Joanna Macy, and a range of traditions, and lineages.
These gatherings and practices soften the heart and in that breathing space we cultivate a sense of solidarity, belonging, and being present for life no matter what it offers.
The door is open, so come by when you can — to chant and sit, or for conversation. Or for both, all afternoon.

Dana is always voluntary, not required, in a traditional expression of appreciation. But we don’t have foundation grants or deep pockets, and we welcome your support of these circles to keep the dharma wheel turning.
