Open Door Dharma & Being Here Now | Hybrid Gatherings
First, time to sit, chant, and breathe together, 3:30-4:30 pm
Then shift to Being Here Now, in conversation 4:30 to 6:00 pm
Sundays April 26, May 10, May 24 | 3:30–6:00 pm
Friends Meeting House, 4312 SE Stark, PDX, Room 12
All are welcome ~ any time
These hybrid Sunday afternoon circles begin with an hour of simple practice — sitting, chanting, and quiet meditation. After a short break at 4:30 we transition to conversation, using the light of dharma teachings and principles to reflect on how we’re navigating the challenging time we live in, whether in personal terms or the broader ground.
We share, listen, and discuss, with tea and sweets. And we take heart in being together, seeing what emerges in the circles. Donations are welcome.
The space is fully accessible and carpeted, with comfortable chairs. Bring a cushion if you prefer floor-sitting.
Open Door gatherings reflect the teachings and practices shared by Ram Dass and Neem Karoli Baba, and also insights from Joanna Macy and other dharma teachers, traditions, and lineages.
These gatherings and practices ease the heart. We cultivate stability, belonging, and the resilience be present no present matter what arises.
The door is open, so come by when you can — to chant and be still, or for conversation. Or for both, all afternoon.
