Open Door Dharma Circles

Sundays, October 12 & 26, 3:30–5:30 pm
Room 12 at the Meeting House, 4312 SE Stark, Portland
All are welcome. Join us for simple chanting, meditation and dharma reflection, followed by prasad and friendly conversation.

Photo of Ram Dass reading "How Can I Help" in 2009The Meeting House is fully accessible. Room 12 is a carpeted space with comfortable chairs. Please bring a cushion if you prefer floor-sitting.

For the first hour we settle quietly. Chanting and silence, as found in the bhakti and Buddhist traditions, are anchors we rely on, nurturing ease of the heart and skillful action in difficult times. The path shared by Ram Dass and Neem Karoli Baba includes the wisdom of many teachers, cultures, and lineages over time. The practices cultivate spacious awareness, compassion, and natural balance.

After a slight break for chai and prasad, we have time for dharma dialogue and conversation related to the times we’re in, and how the practices and principles nurture balance, compassion and community in this volatile time.

Open Door Dharma Circles provide space to explore wisdom footprints that have been left for us left across time and cultures. The footprints and the practices support ease and resilience as we navigate our lives with open-hearted love for our world and our beautiful planet home.

The door is open, come by when you can, to chant and sit, for dharma dialogue, and community conversation. Questions? Please contact us!

Open Door Dharma Gatherings
are freely offered. All are welcome.

If you’d like to offer dana, a jar is near the door and your generosity is welcome. Dana is an expression of appreciation that keeps the dharma wheel turning and is always voluntary.

Whether dropping cash or a check in the jar or giving online, thank you so much! Your support is important to help us keep dharma circles and related programs going.
